Naples is the neinth issue and the first one after the worldwide lockdown.
Sophie is a french photographer, who started in advertising and now is exploring the world through her eyes and the photographic lense.
Few words from Sophie:
"It was in the streets of Naples where, with a broken heart, I found peace after a cold and gray winter. After 7 months spent in Quebec, finding Europe and Italy was a life-saving breath of fresh air.
Alone in the onslaught of the city, I shot instinctively, everything seemed alive, colorful and joyful.
Beyond the clichés, and the famous postcard of Mount Vesuvius, I lingered on what made the soul of this city. Its inhabitants and their way of appropriating the city, of making it a playground. The city ruined by the bankruptcy of industries in the early 90s did not fail to scare away tourists, frightened by poverty, delinquency and the famous Comorra. And even if Naples still has the reputation of being a sulphurous, dangerous city, it is full of vitality and colorful characters, and the spectacle offered by this city is endless.."

Sophie est une photographe française, qui a commencé dans la publicité et explore maintenant le monde à travers ses yeux et l'objectif photographique.

"C'est dans les rues de Naples que, le cœur brisé, j'ai trouvé la paix après un hiver froid et gris. Après 7 mois passés au Québec, découvrir l'Europe et l'Italie a été une bouffée d'air frais salvatrice.
Seul face aux assauts de la ville, j'ai photographié instinctivement, tout semblait vivant, coloré et joyeux.
Au-delà des clichés, et de la célèbre carte postale du Vésuve, je me suis attardé sur ce qui fait l'âme de cette ville. Ses habitants et leur façon de s'approprier la ville, d'en faire un terrain de jeu. La ville ruinée par la faillite des industries au début des années 90 n'a pas manqué de faire fuir les touristes, effrayés par la pauvreté, la délinquance et la fameuse Comore. Et même si Naples a encore la réputation d'être une ville sulfureuse et dangereuse, elle est pleine de vitalité et de personnages hauts en couleur, et le spectacle offert par cette ville est sans fin..."
